ELVIS EXTRAVAGANZA COMES TO TUNICA!
King of Elvis Contest to be Held During Celebrate Life in Tunica Festival

TUNICA, Mississippi (June 26, 2007) – The Regional Finals of the Elvis Extravaganza Contest will be held at the Hollywood Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, on October 29, 2007, as part of the five-day Celebrate Life in Tunica festival.  Dozens of Elvis impersonators will compete for the Southeast Regional Title, with the winner advancing to the finals, to be held on January 6-7, 2008, in Laughlin, Nevada.   

If one night of energetic Elvis entertainment is not enough, Celebrate Life in Tunica will also feature Eddie Miles as Elvis on October 31, 2007, at the Hollywood Casino.  Paying tribute to Elvis, this dynamic show will have Celebrate Life guests on their feet, moving to the beat of Elvis classic hits. 

“Celebrate Life in Tunica is a week-long festival for the 50+ age group, and there is still space available for groups and individuals,” Bill Canter, the marketing and sales director for the Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau, said. “We are looking forward to hosting groups from all over the U.S. and letting them see how exciting The South’s Casino Capital is.”

Including the Elvis Extravaganza Contest, there are more than 50 event choices scheduled throughout the week.

“Celebrate Life in Tunica is your ticket to happiness – we offer something for everyone, no matter what your interest,” Sue Arko, the event promoter, said.  “Spending time in the casinos is also an added perk for our guests.”

Additional Celebrate Life in Tunica activities include a live show from Branson, a Seniors’ Prom, a Halloween Party and Contest, a Taste of the South Party, variety shows featuring senior entertainers, fitness activities, a Wellness Clinic, educational seminars, free gaming tournaments, karaoke, and more!  

Several Celebrate Life in Tunica packages are available, ranging in price from $204-$274 for a three, four, or five-night stay. Packages include accommodations at Hollywood Casino, taxes, and all Celebrate Life Shows and activities. Prices are per person and based on double occupancy. Round trip transfers from the Memphis Airport are available for $50 per person.
