Tunica Queen Names New Sales Manager
TUNICA, Mississippi (June 14, 2007)—The Tunica Queen is turning the boat around and bringing back Jane Malton as their new Sales Manager.
Malton served as Sales Manager in from 2003 to 2006 and took time off to work in Memphis in 2006, but now she’s back cruising on the Tunica Queen.
“We are thrilled Jane Malton decided to come back to the Tunica Queen because she is top-notch at working with corporations, school groups, wedding parties, and groups for special occasions to charter the riverboat for events,” Lynn Barton, one of the owners of the Tunica Queen, said.
The Tunica Queen gives visitors a chance to enjoy the beauty and luxury of a classic 19th century riverboat while relaxing in the air-conditioned and heated comforts of the 21st century. The Tunica Queen was voted the “Best Non-Gaming Attraction” recently by a national magazine, and the owners just completely renovated the 400-seat riverboat making it even more luxurious.
The Tunica Queen is located at the Tunica RiverPark near all nine casinos in Tunica, making the location ideal for visitors coming to the area.
“The Tunica Queen is a first class tourism amenity that compliments the success of the Tunica gaming industry and the world-class Mississippi River museum located at the Tunica RiverPark,” Webster Franklin, president and CEO of the Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau said. “The new Tunica Queen is a big attraction for the millions of visitors who travel to Tunica each year, and we are excited Jane Malton will be back helping to make the Tunica Queen a success.”
The Tunica Queen sails from the spectacular Tunica RiverPark that won the Southeast’s and Mississippi’s Travel Attraction of the Year in 2005. Visitors to the 168-acre RiverPark can benefit from the museum and interpretive center, complete with aquariums, interactive exhibits, and artifacts that reveal the legend and the life of the Mississippi River.
The Tunica Queen sails with three sightseeing cruises daily at 11:00, 1:00, and 3:00 and a dinner cruise nightly April through November. Mondays the Tunica Queen does not cruise. Passes for the sightseeing cruises during the day are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, and $7 for children. Dinner cruises are $39.50 for adults and $37.50 for seniors and children.
